The Maxi-Cool Mercury is a ventilated server cabinet designed for businesses that need quiet, clean, and reliable cooling for lighter server loads — without the cost or complexity of an active refrigeration system. Integrated fans draw a continuous stream of filtered air through the cabinet, keeping equipment cool and dust-free, and run from a standard 3-pin wall plug.
Mercury cabinets are IP54 rated, mounted on castors for easy portability, and available in a wide range of sizes and finishes. Like all Maxi-Cool products, they are designed and manufactured in the UK, fully customisable to your specification, and supplied with a 12-month parts-and-labour warranty.
Crucially, Maxi-Cool Mercury can grow with your business. If your server loads increase over time, the Gemini split system is retrofittable directly onto your existing Mercury cabinet — meaning you never need to replace the cabinet itself, upgrade the cooling. How the Mercury Works
The Mercury uses an integrated fan-based ventilation system to draw cool ambient air in through filtered vents at the front of the cabinet. Filtered air flows across the server equipment inside, absorbing heat, before being expelled from the rear or top of the cabinet.
The IP54-rated cabinet ensures that dust, debris, and moisture are kept out at all times — protecting your equipment and reducing maintenance requirements. The fans run quietly and continuously, maintaining a steady airflow.
Because the Maxi-Cool Mercury works best in environments where the surrounding room temperature is controlled and measurable. If ambient temperatures rise significantly or server loads exceed the ventilation system’s capacity, we can retrofit the active-cooling Gemini system without any structural changes.
